The ambiance is described as cozy and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere enhanced by dim lighting and distinct dining areas for regular and hibachi-style meals. Consistent appreciation is given to attentive and friendly service staff, who contribute significantly to the overall dining experience. The place was very busy for a lunch crowd at 1pm on a Sunday on our visit. We had reservations but still had to wait for a table. The Chef "David" did an excellent job entertaining the group. The food was excellent.
Renee at Miyako is simply exceptional! From the moment I stepped in, her warm hospitality made the dining experience all the more enjoyable. The Spicy Tuna roll was a delight, with its perfect blend of flavors and a satisfying kick of spice. The Sunfire roll was a true showstopper, beautifully presented and bursting with freshness. But the real standout was the spicy scallops, a heavenly combination of succulent seafood and just the right amount of heat. Renee's attention to detail and dedication to her craft shone through in every dish. Each bite was a delicious adventure, and I couldn't help but marvel at the artistry she put into her creations. The ambiance of the restaurant also added to the overall experience, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Moreover, the entire staff at Miyako were attentive and friendly, making sure that every aspect of the meal was perfect. I left the restaurant feeling content, satisfied, and eager to return for more culinary delights. In conclusion, Renee at Miyako is a true gem in the world of Japanese sushi. Her culinary skills, combined with the warm and welcoming environment, create an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend Miyako to anyone seeking an exceptional sushi adventure!
Best sushi south of the Metroplex! My wife and i have been staying in Granbury all month Love the staff, the food AND the price! Wilson, Frankie, and Calvin do an amazing job at the sushi bar creating specials and individual pieces. I was immediately impressed that they have had Uni 2 of the 3 times I've been here. Our server, Chelsea, was amazing as well... very attentive, easy going, and polite. Sad to have to go home but when we come back this fall, we will be back at Miyako!
Loved my experience here. Tiffany was an excellent server, very polite, friendly and professional. Food was good. I ordered shrimp tempura bento and fried ice cream that I've never tasted before. It was unusual but good. Place is very cozy, has two separate rooms for regular and hibachi dining. Wasn't too busy, very clean and had lights dimmed down, which gave it a very relaxing feel. Music was also very soothing and pleasant to the ear. It's a but hidden off of the busy highway strip but definitely worth a visit or two :)
We moved to Granbury two years ago and haven’t tried this restaurant because of the mixed reviews. Im not sure about the hibachi side but the regular dining was great and sushi was delicious and made fresh. Definitely would recommend.
Ava was our waitress and she did an awesome job! I came in with two little kids a 4 year old and a 6 year old and Ava made sure they had a great time. We will be going back and we will be asking for Ava to be our waitress. Ava thanks for being so awesome with the kids. You were great!
Finally made a trip back to Miyako after being away from some years. The great thing about it, nothing has changed. Still amazing food, amazing service, and great chefs. Frankie, Wilson, and the crew are consistent every time.
Got it togo. Bought the spicy salmon and the #53 roll. I forgot what it was called. I waited at the bar with a draft beer that tasted fresh and crisp. The food was ready before I finished my beer. The sushi rolls were fresh and full of flavor. Was it worth 30? Maybe... All i know is I’m returning. This isn’t a cheap spot but its a spot you want to take a date on or impress the family. You have great food and a traditional modern Japanese/Sushi in Granbury. What more could you want? Try Miyako and you wont regret it.
